IN 2023 TOM & FLORENCE  HIKED 100 MILES ON THE CAMINO IN FRANCE & SPAIN.

GAIL SURVIVED LUNG CANCER AND BREAST CANCER.IN ADDITION SHE  HAD, HIP AND  KNEE SURGERY. SHE CAN  NOW SIT AND STAND WITHOUT USING HANDS 50  TIMES  IN 30 MINUTES!

I MAKE THIS PLEDGE TO MYSELF:

I REALIZE THAT MY HEALTH IS A MOST PRECIOUS GIFT. NOT JUST TO ME; ADDITIONALLY IT IS A GIFT TO THE PEOPLE WHO BOTH LOVE AND DEPEND ON ME. I PLEDGE TO MYSELF AND TO THE IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN MY LIFE, THAT I WILL CHERISH THIS GIFT OF LIFE AND CARE FOR THIS BODY IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE.


I WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS TASK BY FEEDING AND FUELING MY SYSTEMS MOSTLY WITH FOOD CHOICES THAT ARE THE BEST FOR ME: WHOLESOME FRUITS, VEGETABLES, NUTS, NON SATURATED FATS AND ONLY LEAN MEATS HUMANELY TREATED ALONG WITH HEART ENHANCING FISH.


I WILL REGULARLY EXERCISE MY HEART WHICH IS THE PRIMARY MUSCLE IN MY BODY. I WILL MOVE MY JOINTS THROUGHOUT RANGE OF MOTION SO THAT I REMAIN FLUID IN MOVEMENT.
I WILL CHALLENGE MY SKELETAL MUSCLES WITH RESISTANCE
EXERCISES SO THAT I MAINTAIN MUSCLE MASS FOR THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE.


I LOVE LIFE AND WANT TO EXPERIENCE THIS LIFE OF MINE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CELLS AND ORGANS OF WHICH PHYSICAL BEING IS COMPRISED.

 MANY SENIORS DESIRE A BETTER LIFE THROUGH EXERCISE BUT UNFORTUNATELY, MOST  ARE CLUELESS AS TO THE EXERCISES AND TECHNIQUES THAT WILL BENEFIT THEM MOST. WHEN I VISIT HEALTH CLUBS IT SADDENS ME TO SEE SO MANY SENIORS WASTING THEIR EFFORTS WITH INEFFICIENT AND POSSIBLY HAZARDOUS EXERCISES. DOING MORE HARM TO THEMSELVES THAN GOOD. PROPER EXERCISE COMBINED WITH FOOD CHOICES CAN BE LIFE CHANGING AND ENHANCING. MY DESIRE IS TO PRESENT TO YOU A BETTER WAY.
